  • Providing direct customer service to employees by responding to payroll-related questions and requests.
  • Ensuring payroll operations are conducted efficiently by following established policies and procedures and reporting necessary changes.
  • Using standard accounting practices to maintain and review financial accounts and records.
  • Working under general supervision with standard assignments, following clearly defined procedures.
  • Receiving assistance from supervisors for unusual issues and instructions for new or complex assignments.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of full-time paid experience in maintaining financial accounts and records; OR
  • Three (3) years of full-time paid experience in maintaining financial accounts and records.
  • Experience in Payroll is preferred

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Albany, New York. The role involves providing support for biweekly payroll processing in a complex organizational setting and maintaining accurate payroll records. Job Overview:

+ Duties include maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and inputting data.
