The Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Med Support provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. This position is responsible for a ssisting with medical appointments, stocking medical supplies, and assistance in keeping all medical documentation files up to date, as well as administering medications as prescribed by physician.
Hoyt residence is located across the street from the Port Ewen Beach, providing beautiful views of the Hudson River. Seven outgoing and active people, six ladies and one gentleman, live here. The ladies enjoy keeping up on the latest fashion trends, and love to plan parties for any type of occasion, while the one gentleman prefers his quiet time, catching up on the latest book in his reading collection. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm/flexible, based on needs of program
STARTING SALARY: $19.76 to $ 21.74 per hour
Minimum Requirements
+ High School Diploma or GED is preferred

+ Computer skills
