Responsibilities

  • Cleanings and repairs
  • Assist with the installation
  • Plumbing and electrical work
  • Efficiency and combustion tests
  • Maneuver equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with proper devices or additional manpower
  • Operate various instruments such as multi meters and combustion analyzers
  • Collect monetary payments from customers, when necessary
  • Abide by all safety and environmental Company policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety and compliance records 100% of the time
  • Provide quality customer satisfaction to all customers and business contacts
  • Maintain confidentiality related to Customer and company information
  • Perform daily inspection of Company vehicle and report results to Service Coordinator
  • Attend all applicable Company provided in-house and out-source training
  • Exchange trade related knowledge and information with all employees
  • Report to work as scheduled, with minimal absenteeism and tardiness, work overtime as necessary, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Perform other job-related activities and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • CTEP qualifications or obtain within 1 year of employment
  • EPA Refrigerant certification or obtain within 1 year of employment
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an HVAC Service Technician or completed MEP HVAC Apprenticeship
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment functional evaluation and drug screening
  • Possess a valid driver's license

Full Job Description

Position: HVAC Service Technician

Status: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Potential Annual Salary: $65k - $100k

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- include and are not limited to:

+ Maintain the knowledge and ability to perform the following tasks related to furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and/or air conditioning systems

+ Install a minimum of two (2) fired by a minimum of one (1) of the following: fuel oil, propane, or natural gas in a routine residential environment

+ Cleanings and repairs

+ Assist with the installation

+ Plumbing and electrical work

+ Efficiency and combustion tests

+ Be capable of maneuvering equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with the use of proper mechanical devices and/or additional manpower

+ Possess the ability to operate various instruments such as multi meters and combustion analyzers

+ Collect monetary payments from customers, when necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES- include and are not limited to:

+ Abide by all safety and environmental Company policies and procedures

+ Abide by all related traffic and environmental Laws and Regulations

+ Maintain safety and compliance records 100% of the time

+ Provide quality customer satisfaction to all customers and business contacts

+ Maintain confidentiality, 100% of the time, related to Customer and company information

+ Perform daily inspection of Company vehicle and report results to Service Coordinator

+ Attend all applicable Company provided in-house and out-source training, as well as job related training and informational seminars as requested

+ Exchange trade related knowledge and information with all employees

+ Report to work as scheduled, with minimal absenteeism and tardiness, work overtime as necessary, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule

+ Perform other job-related activities and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- include and are not limited to:

+ CETP qualifications - if not currently certified will need to obtain within 1 year of employment and maintain these certifications

+ EPA Refrigerant certification - if not currently certified will need to obtain within 1 year of employment and maintain these certifications

+ Prefer minimum of 2 years' experience as an HVAC Service Technician and/or completed MEP HVAC Apprenticeship

+ Successful completion of a pre-employment functional evaluation and drug screening

+ Possess a valid driver's license
