  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

**Job Description:**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Surgical Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Surgical Physician Assistant works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

This role will support mostly the OR with our general surgeon and OB/GYN physician with preop clinic. Call coverage will be 1:3 and also include supporting the orthopedic department.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION**

_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

**Minimum Required:** Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program/Nurse Practitioner.

**Preferred/Optional:** None

**EXPERIENCE**

**Minimum Required:** None

**Preferred/Optional:** One year in specialty.

**CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES**
