Qualifications

Required

  • Doctor of medicine, Doctorate in Public Health, or comparable Doctorate degree
  • Minimum of five years significant experience in high-level management of a health sciences center, preferably in a university setting
  • M.D. with board certification or education, training, and/or experience equivalent to above

Preferred

  • MPH, MBA, or MPA
  • 10+ years clinical experience in an academic hospital setting
  • 4+ years in an executive role, experience with an electronic health record implementation, population health, and quality improvement
  • Experience as a Chief Medical Officer, Chair, Chief of service, or division Chief
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and an ability to work in a matrixed environment
