Director of EngineeringRiverLink Biz Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area (On-site)Riverlink is seeking a dynamic Director of Product Engineering to lead and manage our client's product engineering function. This role is crucial for driving technical feasibility, design, and rollout of new products, ensuring we remain the industry frontrunner. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen understanding of engineering processes.***This position is not focused on software engineering.Responsibilities:Generate product concepts and manage design from inception to rollout.Maintain quality standards and update the Bill of Materials.Conduct market research to identify opportunities and establish product specifications.Evaluate and improve existing products and processes.Provide engineering expertise and training.Collaborate with Quality and Customer Service teams to resolve issues.Oversee vendor selection and conduct “In-house vs Outsource” analysis.Manage key projects through the milestone-based process.Attend sales meetings and trade shows to stay informed about market trends.Supervisory Responsibilities:Build, develop, and manage a product engineering team.Coordinate training and address team growth areas.Handle team selection, onboarding, and performance reviews.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Minimum of 3 years of engineering management experience.Minimum of 3 years in new product design or project management.Strong ability to interpret and write technical product specifications.Proven project management experience.Type: direct hire
