Hive Group is seeking a Strategic Planning Task Lead to lead the development and execution of key strategic business initiatives in support of a major federal acquisition program. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the goals and priorities of federal acquisition and procurement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain annual strategic priorities, tracking progress and collecting accomplishments to support organizational objectives within the context of federal procurement operations
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to develop impactful metrics for senior executive performance plans and assessments, particularly those related to procurement and acquisition goals
  • Support the development of strategic documents, including environmental assessments and support matrices, to guide decision-making processes within a federal acquisition framework
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder engagement toolkit to enhance relationship management and improve engagement practices across federal procurement organizations
  • Lead the creation and execution of stakeholder engagement plans, incorporating feedback and perspectives from various federal acquisition stakeholders to drive the success of strategic initiatives
  • Develop communications and talking points to keep stakeholders informed on the status of acquisition-related projects and organizational changes
  • Conduct gap analyses and hotwash reviews to identify opportunities for improvement in post-realignment organizational structures and processes within the acquisition domain
  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) across the organization
  • Support organizational change networks in addressing challenges and promoting standardization efforts across federal acquisition entities
  • Explore and implement risk management solutions that support enterprise-wide risk identification and mitigation processes
  • Identify and implement records management solutions to streamline document processes and enhance efficiency in managing acquisition-related records

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Planning, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning or a related role within a federal acquisition, procurement, or contract management environment
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives within the context of federal acquisition or procurement programs
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and change management principles, especially within federal acquisition organizations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Job Summary

This role will be instrumental in shaping and driving the strategic direction of our client’s operations by developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic plans, performance metrics, and stakeholder engagement strategies. The Strategic Planning Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance decision-making, standardize operations, and improve organizational effectiveness within the federal acquisition and procurement landscape.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and change management principles, especially within federal acquisition organizations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in risk management and records management is preferred
