Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, including OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Lead the maintenance team in responding to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, ensuring timely and effective resolution to minimize disruption.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management, with a strong background in managing teams and complex maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets, including cost estimation and control.

Salary:

CYNWAVE Solutions, LLC seeks a Maintenance Manager responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance operations under contract. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of maintenance practices, exceptional management skills, and the ability to ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulations and standards. To support mission requirements, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for operational readiness, quality assurance, personnel management, and overall maintenance performance. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Daily activities may include:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, mechanics, technicians, and support personnel to ensure high-quality maintenance services are provided.
    • Develop staffing plans, conduct performance evaluations, and manage team development through training and mentoring.
    • Foster safety, accountability, and continuous improvement culture within the maintenance department.
  • Strategic Planning and Operations Management:
    • Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans to support operational goals and Army requirements.
    • Oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance for various military vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
    • Coordinate with other departments, including supply chain, logistics, and operations, to ensure seamless support for mission readiness.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all maintenance activities meet standards and contractual requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits and inspections by government representatives.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
    • Oversee inventory management and control of parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring optimal availability and minimizing downtime.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance:
    • Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
    • Promote a safety-first culture by developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on maintenance activities, performance metrics, personnel status, and equipment readiness.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance actions, inspections, inventory usage, and compliance documentation.
  • Stakeholder and Customer Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for government representatives, external stakeholders, and customers for all maintenance-related matters.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to enhance equipment availability and operational readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent military or technical experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in military or civilian maintenance operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Previous experience with the contract or other Army logistics and maintenance programs is highly desirable.


Certifications:

  • Army Maintenance Management System (AMMS) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills, with the ability to build and lead effective teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic maintenance plans.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and noise.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and walking.
