As the Vice President of Capture at DCG Communications, you will lead and manage the capture strategy and process for securing government contracts. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's capture strategy in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities and assess their potential impact on company growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Lead the capture process from opportunity identification through contract award, including bid/no-bid decisions, proposal strategy, and customer engagement.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals, ensuring compliance with requirements and alignment with customer needs.
  • Coordinate with proposal managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to develop winning proposals.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the capture team and across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing capture plans, strategies, and win themes.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze competitors' strategies and positioning to enhance the company's competitive advantage.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential opportunities and track industry developments.
  • Engage with current and potential clients to understand their requirements and build long-term relationships.
  • Participate in client meetings, industry events, and conferences to represent the company and gather intelligence.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of capture efforts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on capture activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in government contracting, with a focus on capture management, business development, or proposal management.
  • Proven track record of successful capture and business development activities.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex capture strategies and manage large-scale proposals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.

Position Overview: As the Vice President of Capture, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the capture strategy and process for securing government contracts. This role involves overseeing capture activities, developing strategies to win new business, and ensuring successful proposal submissions. The VP of Capture will work closely with other executives, the DCG Growth team, and operational units to drive growth and maintain competitive advantage in the government contracting sector.

Location: Fully Remote, Washington DC preferred, but open to other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Strategic Leadership:

+ Develop and execute the company's capture strategy in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

+ Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities and assess their potential impact on company growth.

+ Establish and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders and industry partners.

+ Capture Management:

+ Lead the capture process from opportunity identification through contract award, including bid/no-bid decisions, proposal strategy, and customer engagement.
