Qualifications

Required

  • For GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.
  • For GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.
  • For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Ability to accurately manage records in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Experience in disaster response operations and/or the design or inspection of flood control projects.
  • Ability to assist in performing emergency response and recovery activities during periods of high stress and crisis situations, such as those following a natural disaster.
  • Ability to coordinate operations of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) facility coordinator.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree and am claiming Superior Academic Achievement for GS-07 level.
  • Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position for GS-09 and GS-11 levels.
  • Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position for GS-11 level.
