Material Handler

Peopleready Skilled Trades is hiring immediately for a material handler/yard person/equipment operator in Rowley MA. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in industrial shop environments, a strong ability to identify steel shapes, experienced with operating forklifts (4 ton & 15ton combi-lifts) and/or overhead cranes. Prior experience is required and in this long term, temp to perm role, you have the opportunity to earn depending on experience.

Note : The pay rate for this job is $22 - $25 / hour

Responsibilities:

* Operate forklifts and overhead cranes

* Unload incoming and outgoing deliveries

* Identify and check material to bills of lading and documents

* Move materials to designated spots

* Load conveyors per individual project requirements

Qualifications:

* Experience with identifying steel shapes.

* Using ruler and/or measuring device with whole numbers and fractions.

* Ability to count and track multiple piece orders.

* Experienced heavy fork lift and overhead crane operation

* Good communication skills

* Adaptable to work in all weather conditions

* Reliable transportation
