As a Forklift Mechanic at Saia, Inc., you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all systems and parts associated with diesel and propane power forklifts manufactured by Nissan, Toyota, Hyster, and others. Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses failures, make repairs and maintains all systems and parts associated with diesel and propane power forklifts.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and rebuilds propane and diesel forklift engines.
  • Uses hydraulic jacks or hoist to gain access to the underside of the unit and to aid in the removal or replacement of assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials, etc.
  • Uses electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of forklifts engine, braking, electrical, hydraulic, cooling and exhaust systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years Forklift Mechanic experience.
  • ASE master mechanic certification.
  • Factory training and certification in diagnostic software.
  • Training in transmissions and rear end rebuilding.
  • Training in repair hydraulic lift systems.

Pay Rate: $32.50 - $37.50 per hour, based on experience
