  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Aid in the development and execution of ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

Required

  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of Full Cycle Payroll procedures and systems
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in the HR or financial sector
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and manipulation
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong understanding of labor legislation, tax, and deduction procedures
  • Exceptional numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Relevant certification or qualification in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role involves auditing and reviewing union reporting data, filing local and quarterly returns, account reconciliation, and providing year-end support. This position will be integral to our team, requiring a keen attention to detail, the ability to quickly grasp new concepts, and a strong interest in supporting the team with a variety of ad-hoc projects.

Requirements - Must possess exceptional knowledge and understanding of Full Cycle Payroll procedures and systems

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in the HR or financial sector

- Strong proficiency in data analysis and manipulation, with a keen attention to detail

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and a high level of trustworthiness

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and external partners

- Proficiency in payroll software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Strong understanding of labor legislation, tax, and deduction procedures

- Exceptional numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Relevant certification or qualification in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous.
