Responsibilities

  • Provide input on the establishment of short and long-term goals for the team. Proactively monitor team performance to assess progress against goals.
  • Create, communicate, and maintain quality control policies and work procedures to enable adherence to risk management requirements. Complete risk assessments to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop high performing team members for career progression. Conduct staff training on system equipment, hardware and software upgrades, compliance requirements, and existing/new standard department procedures.
  • Identify and implement solutions that optimize daily production opportunities, address risk management weaknesses, maximize staff resources, and enhance employee-focused initiatives that drive engagement and growth.
  • Work with customers and vendors within the cash supply chain to ensure adherence to service levels and contractual obligations.
  • Research, clarify, and resolve routine to complex operational problems across multiple work processes that include but are not limited to machine issues, inventory management, customer transactions, accounting and settlement activity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of relevant cash or business work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in leading teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to lead and develop team members in meeting goals and objectives
  • Experience supervising teams in production, manufacturing, or supply chain distribution environments
  • Strong teamwork and customer service orientation
  • Strong time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Use of critical thinking to assess situations, make appropriate decisions in a timely manner, and communicate those decisions to impacted stakeholders
  • Demonstrate active listening skills with the ability to problem solve and provide feedback in a variety of situations
  • Possess strong analytical skills with experience in using data to assess emerging trends and arrive at solutions
  • Risk management or procedural compliance experience
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence individuals at varying levels internally and externally
  • Experience in the development and implementation of new procedures and policies
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and PowerPoint

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking an **Operations** **Supervisor** in our Seattle Cash Office location. As the Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team focusing on operational excellence in the distribution and processing of US currency using complex, authentication, and piece sorting technology. You will be responsible for developing a team that is accountable for driving operational excellence in a fast paced and highly regulated environment.
