**UW Medical Center-Montlake - NEUROLOGY CLINIC** has an outstanding opportunity for a **PSYCHOMETRIST 2.** **WORK SCHEDULE**
- FULL-TIME; 1.0 FTE; 40 HOURS/WEEK
- Day Shift

**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
This individual will be responsible for the maintenance of a neuropsychological testing lab. Under direction of a neuropsychologist, the Psychometrist 2 will administer and score neuropsychological tests, schedule patients, maintain records, etc.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Show clear understanding of NP test administration, procedures, instructions, scoring, and double checking of test file data
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity
- Communicate appropriately and clearly with staff and co-workers
- Establish and coordinate a testing schedule
- Maintain a highly accurate and up-to-date database, which is the gold standard
- Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized; function under stressful situations
- Maintain good working relationships with other disciplines within the department
- Maintain good working relationships with other faculty, departments, and outside agencies
- Respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns
- Work effectively with people with varying degrees of disabilities and difficulties
- Participate in any appropriate training opportunities
- Prepare detailed behavioral observations during testing
- Demonstrate good clinical judgment in the testing circumstance, including gauging patient's reaction correctly and discerning the appropriate time to call for the neuropsychologist
- Demonstrate good awareness of patient's basic medical needs and issues
- Carry out special test ordering procedures
- Order and maintain all supplies for the test lab
- Submit proper billing forms
- Maintain a log of all billing and referrals
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
A Master's Degree with major study in psychology or a closely related field with emphasis in tests and measurement
OR A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral or social science and two years of experience in psychological testing
OR Two years of experience as a Psychometrist 1
OR Equivalent education/experience.
