SThe Center for Innovative Public Health Research is seeking a dynamic, experienced public health professional to fill the role of Research Assistant on adolescent LGBT+ centered, NIH-funded research studies.


About us: The Center for Innovative Public Health Research (CiPHR) has been quietly growing into one of the most innovative and progressive technology-focused organizations in the technology and public health space. We are a non-profit organization that primarily focuses on understanding how technology is affecting the health and well-being of youth, particularly LGBT+ youth, while also identifying ways we can harness the power of technology to promote healthy behaviors.


We are looking for BA-level public health professionals who want to be part of something bigger. The office setting promotes healthy lifestyle choices: We have two walking desks that can be used by the team. Each researcher has a standing desk. We have an outdoor space with an ocean view for breaks and lunch time, and are a 15-minute walk to the beach. Research Assistant Job Description


This is an in-office position. The applicant must be local to Orange County and able to work in our San Clemente office Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Applicants who need to relocate for the position will not be considered. Some nights and weekends, based on study needs, will be necessary.


The RA position provides a range of research/development activities, including the following:

Qualifications:

  • Successful applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field. At least 1 year of post-graduate research experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with LGBT+ populations is strongly desired.
  • Applicants who are fluent in both Spanish and English are highly preferred.
  • Applicants must currently live local to San Clemente and be able to commute to the office each work day. People who need to relocate or work remotely will not be considered.
