  • Follow up and monitor all issues relating to sampling, sample revisions, costs, and negotiations during the line review process.
  • Negotiate to meet cost and margin targets without compromising production quality or aesthetics.
  • Analyze factory cost and propose selling price to product and sales team by evaluating historical data and market research information.
  • Assist sales team with quote creation and submission across various retail platforms.
  • Collaborate with Production | Sourcing Manager to monitor and review all prototypes and final samples.
  • Communicate product and testing requirements and resolve project roadblocks.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2-3 years experience in sourcing or product development role in a consumer goods environment, preferably in home decor, gift, or housewares categories.
  • Familiarity with product costing and pricing structures in an import, wholesale, and/or retail environment.
  • Ability to quickly develop extensive understanding of new product types, markets, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Ability to drive projects forward in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers.
  • High level of technical aptitude, including previous experience using remote collaboration tools.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Job Description

Assist Product Development Manager and cross-functional team to drive the product development process by working with US-based retail customers and communicating with overseas sales, industrial engineering, production and design teams. The role of the Associate Product Manager is to manage the flow of communication, costing and sampling with overseas factories and agents to build an assortment that meets the needs of our retail accounts.

Requirements

· Ability to drive projects forward in a collaborative environment, including working with cross-functional teams and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds

· Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers

· High level of technical aptitude, including previous experience using remote collaboration tools and ability to learn new technologies quickly

· Must be skilled in Microsoft Office,

· Some travel to trade shows, customer meetings and manufacturing sites as career progresses

· Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
