We are seeking a Manager of Operations to oversee the operations and supply chain management processes in the manufacturing industry, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry regulations and standards. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
  • Obtain quotes and place purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Promptly address and resolve any quality issues with contract manufacturers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate advantageous terms and conditions with contract manufacturers.
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify any potential risks or opportunities.
  • Communicating backlog, backorders, low inventory levels and addressing/resolving any issues.
  • Manage discrepancies and special requests; log tickets and ensure follow-through to resolution.
  • Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and audits.
  • Ensure B2B and B2C shipping costs, corrugated shippers, packaging material, supplies are always on hand and within the budget.
  • Execute training, routing, and compliance processes to adhere to customer guidelines.
  • Issue Workorder PO’s and manage submissions of supplies (labels, UPC’s, etc.).
  • Manage quoting and negotiating workorder assemblies while seeking alternative sources for competitive rates.
  • Review invoices and communicate to finance agreed costs are approved for payment.
  • Manage all transportation movement or storage (finished goods, components, packaging, collateral, supplies, etc.).
  • Negotiate carrier rates and turnaround times.
  • Manage all 3PL inbound/outbound notifications, transportation methods, timely receipt of goods into inventory and internal communication for invoice processing.
  • Monitor performances: shipping methods (expedited/ground), reliability, cost, and timetable.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in planning, forecasting, operations, and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and organizational skills; detail-oriented and solution-focused.
  • Proven experience in working within a high-growth organization and contributing to improvement of stock levels, sales, and margin.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel

  • Netsuite experience

We are seeking a Manager of Operations to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Westport, Connecticut. This role involves overseeing the operations and supply chain management processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry regulations and standards.


Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
  • Obtain quotes and place purchase orders with suppliers.
