The Enterprise Network Systems Administrator at Tech Providers Inc. is responsible for managing and administering enterprise network systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer enterprise network systems.
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of network systems.
  • Utilize Cisco ATA, Cisco ACI, Cisco APIC, Cisco Prime, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, and other required technology skill sets.
  • Perform in a role requiring customer service, decision making, flexibility, interpersonal skills, leadership, organizational awareness, problem solving, reasoning, team building, and technology awareness.
  • Utilize skills in business process, project management, quality assurance, requirements analysis, risk management, configuration, data and information management, information resources strategy and planning, information technology architecture, performance assessment, and technology awareness.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of five years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols.
  • Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware.
  • Increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies.
  • Minimum of three years of experience within the last four years in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Minimum of two years of experience within the last four years in a security monitoring role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field.

Preferred

  • Hands on experience with configuring routers and switches using command line Cisco IOS.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BGP, EIGRP routing protocols.
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Cisco devices, routing and switching, including IPSEC and GRE tunnels, Cisco wireless controllers and access points, Firewalls specifically Palo Alto PAN-OS 11.0 and higher versions, Cisco Firepower FTD and FMC 7.2.X and higher versions, TACACS, SNMP, and ACLs, and Cisco cellular enabled routers.

The following technology skill sets are required to perform in this classification: Cisco ATA, Cisco ACI, Cisco APIC, Cisco Prime, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, CACTI, eCloud, Elastic Search, ITM, Open NMS, nGenius, McAfee; MVISION, NetScout, SCOM; UTR; StruxureWare, SecureWorks WAF (WAN App FW) toolset, Wireshark, & Web CTRL.

Skills Preferred:
Hands on experience with configuring routers and switches using command line Cisco IOS

Knowledge and understanding of BGP, EIGRP routing protocols.

Experience Required:
This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols, have computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware, and increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies; must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years in a security monitoring role.

Experience Preferred:
Within the past five years, a minimum three years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and administering the following:

Cisco devices, routing and switching, including hands on experience with configuring routers and switches using command line Cisco IOS and experience with BGP, EIGRP routing protocols

VLANS, port interfaces, port channels, subnets, and updating Cisco IOS

IPSEC and GRE tunnels

Cisco wireless controllers and access points

Firewalls specifically Palo Alto PAN-OS 11.0 and higher versions, as well as Cisco Firepower FTD and FMC 7.2.X and higher versions

Education Required:
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Information:
Working days are Monday to Thursday

Overtime may be required afterhours

California resident candidates only

Required to drive personal vehicle to Los Angeles County offices

Los Angeles County does not reimburse temporary contractors for mileage.
