MidAtlantic Endoscopy, in Lancaster and Ephrata, PA, is seeking a full-time Center Administrator - RN to work a Monday to Friday schedule. The role involves a variety of tasks including operational management, collaboration with Medical Directors and Board Members, supervision of nursing and patient care, and participation in quality assurance and performance improvement committees. Responsibilities

  • Monitors operational activities for effective and efficient management of daily operations.
  • Works collaboratively with Medical Directors, Board Members, Director of Operations, and Clinical Director.
  • Direct supervision of nursing and patient care.
  • Oversees medical staff/allied health credentialing and human resources.
  • Directs and participates in the Center’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI).
  • Manages services provided by contracted vendors.
  • Develops, interprets, and implements policies, procedures, regulations, programs, and recommended practices to meet requirements of regulatory and accrediting organizations.
  • Monitors and analyzes monthly operating reports to promote cost containment and efficient use of the Center’s resources.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of capital and operating budgets.
  • Assists with marketing plans in collaboration with AMSURG and the Governing Board.
  • Utilizes Materials Management principles to promote cost containment and efficient use of Center resources.
  • Monitors the Center’s physical environment to maintain safety, comfort, cleanliness, and efficiencies.
  • Supervises nurses, surgical technicians, endoscopy technicians, radiation technologists, and other clinical staff, and front desk personnel.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and management for clinical operations.
  • Supervises all clinical activities of Pre-Op, PACU, OR, and Pre-Admissions to facilitate optimal flow of patient care and safety.
  • Coordinates procedure/surgery scheduling.
  • Oversees infection control at the center and acts as infection control preventionist. Develops and implements on-going infection control plans and programs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Candidate may demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state license to practice as a registered nurse in PA.
  • Basic cardiac life support certification (BLS).
  • Advanced cardiac life support certification (ACLS).
  • Experience in clinical supervisory, Pre-Op, PACU, and operating room.
  • Deep knowledgeable of state, regulatory, CMS, and applicable accreditation policies (AAAHC/TJC).
  • At least five years of healthcare-management experience.
  • At least one year experience in an ASC.
  • Evidence of leadership qualities, with strong ethical and moral character references.
  • Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English.
  • Computer literacy.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently searching for a Full Time RN / Center Director to work a Monday – Friday schedule with a closely knit team of staff and physicians performing a variety of tasks in Lancaster and Ephrata.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate may demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse in PA, maintain basic cardiac life support certification (BLS), and advanced cardiac life support certification (ACLS), experience in clinical supervisory, Pre – Op, PACU, and operating room, deep knowledgeable of state, regulatory, CMS, and applicable accreditation policies (AAAHC/TJC).
  • At least five (5) years of healthcare-management experience.
  • At least one (1) year experience in an ASC.
  • Evidence of leadership qualities, with strong ethical and moral character references.
  • Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in Gastroenterology/GI.

  • Monitors the Center’s physical environment, initiating methods for maintaining safety, comfort, cleanliness, and efficiencies.

Clinical Operations:

  • Supervises nurses, surgical technicians, endoscopy technicians, radiation technologists and other clinical staff, and front desk personnel.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and management for clinical operations.
  • Supervises all clinical activities of Pre-Op, PACU, OR, and Pre-Admissions to facilitate optimal flow of patient care and safety
  • Coordinates procedure/surgery scheduling.
  • Oversees infection control at the center and acts as infection control preventionist. Develops and implements on-going infection control plans and programs. Seeks continuing educational opportunities and updates infection control plan and policies as needed to ensure compliance throughout all levels of the organization.
