Responsibilities

  • Lead regional marketing and business development strategy.
  • Partner with regional managing principals and office/practice leaders to plan and execute strategies for developing existing or new markets and sectors.
  • Drive integration across practice areas, identify opportunities for new service offerings and thought leadership outreach.
  • Align the firm’s global strategies with local market considerations.
  • Manage lead generation and tracking as relationship development process; oversee regional CRM/opportunity tracking system.
  • Structure and lead learning programs around marketing/business development.
  • Lead client relationship initiatives: audits/debriefs/focus groups.
  • Conduct research on potential new markets, geographies, or clients.
  • Develop and track success metrics against strategies for constant improvement.
  • Develop best-in-class teams of marketing professionals.
  • Drive regional recruiting, hiring, and professional development for marketing staff.
  • Conduct learning programs for staff on topics such as client relationships, networking, business development, and brand standards.
  • Ensure that local marketing teams are informed of firmwide initiatives, resources, and standards.
  • Develop team structures and responsibilities for marketing staff across the region; perform regular professional development reviews and addresses any gaps in performance.
  • Direct marketing infrastructure and operations.
  • Provide quality oversight for collateral, proposals, presentations, events, and other marketing activities.
  • Develop a framework to maximize efficiency and communication between each of the regional offices.
  • Monitor processes for quality control, filing, and adherence to the firm’s standards.
  • Develop annual marketing and photography budget.
  • Track, analyze, and report marketing expenditures.
  • Represent the region in firmwide marketing/communications efforts.
  • Engage with counterparts in other regions to share information and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • 15+ years professional experience in marketing and communications; preferably in the architecture/design, real estate, or professional services industry
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree may be advantageous.
  • Experience leading/managing marketing teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work closely with executive-level leaders of the firm and develop strong internal relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Thorough understanding of graphic design principles and an ability to direct design projects.
  • Proven excellence in hiring/growing talent; strong leadership skills.

Your RoleThe Marketing Manager partners with the leaders of our Costa Rica office, and practice areas to drive Gensler’s growth and recognition in the Latin America region. The Marketing Manager will implement Gensler’s global marketing/communications strategies on a local level. They are responsible for developing excellent teams of marketing professionals.
