Responsibilities

  • Abide by all policies and procedures of Tool & Manufacturing including Code of Conduct, Safety, Attendance, and general work rules.
  • Attend all regularly scheduled shifts and be available for overtime hours as needed.
  • Perform all assigned duties in a timely effort with integrity and strong effort.
  • Keep assigned work areas clean and sanitary at all times while containing and reporting any and all workplace safety hazard or conditions.
  • Ensure knowledge of and maintain compliance with the Quality Policy of Tool & Manufacturing.
  • Repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies.
  • Work as a team with the production department on all tooling issues.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequence of operations for fabricating tools, dies or assemblies.
  • Use of measuring instruments to conform to specifications, such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts.
  • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and bench grinders to cut, bore, grind and shape parts to specific dimensions.
  • File, grind, shim, and adjust parts for proper fit.
  • Experience working with large progressive, transfer and deep draw dies.
  • Cut, Shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes using power and hand tools.
  • Rework of damaged components in a timely manner.
  • Capable of interacting with fellow team members in a professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot problems to determine solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • At least three years minimum experience in die repair or related technical field, preferably in a metal stamping environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend safety, operating and maintenance documents and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain/retain an Industrial Powered Lift Truck certification.
  • Ability to obtain/retain an Overhead Crane certification.
  • Ability to obtain/retain a Lock Out/Tag Out Authorization certification.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure delivery requirements.
  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
