Childcare Provider

Lovely Scarsdale, New York family, seeks a full-time, live-out Manny/Family Assistant to provide childcare for their school-age children (14,13, and 10) with a primary focus on activities for a 10-year-old boy. The ideal candidate will be energetic and love outdoor play as well as helping with scheduling activities, homework and various other activities. Experience as an athletic instructor or camp counselor, are a big plus! The schedule is Monday to Friday roughly 10:30am to 6:30pm with flexibility. Not pets, no travel, must drive and be tech savvy!

Responsibilities

• Engaging the children in active play and outdoor activities

• Light tidying up

• Organizing activities and outings; coordinating and supervising social engagements

• Supervising all athletic activities and ensuring the safety of children at all times

• Candidate must seek to create a playful, caring, safe, and inspiring atmosphere for the principles and their children

• Additional Manny responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the principals

Requirements

• Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

• Minimum 2+ years related experience working in a private home in a similar role or roles for a private family

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Polished, poised, and professional; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times

• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities

• Athletic and physically agile; able to keep up with active children

• Confident swimmer; willing and able to swim with the children

• Computer savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems, including Office, Internet, and email

• Valid Driver’s License, as well as clean driving record, REQUIRED

• Legally able to work in the United States
