We house a highly skilled team of experienced Calibration Technicians and Certified Metrology Technicians utilizing our high-tech equipment to calibrate our customer gages at their facilities. Our technology allows us to service many industries with a wide range of calibration capabilities including but not limited to, dimensional, mechanical, electromagnetic DC/low frequency, and thermodynamic. We are ISO 9001 Registered, and ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1994 Accredited through ANAB.


This position is dispatched from your home with a company supplied vehicle to work at our customers’ facilities located throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Frequent travel to our Headquarters in Lititz, PA is necessary to pick-up and drop off equipment and for company meetings.

Job Description

Field Calibration Technician

Many of Garber Metrology customers are among the largest and most technologically influential companies in the world. We service companies across a wide range of industries, including but not limited to, Electronic, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Food, and Government.

We are looking to hire a talented PMEL or Technical School Equivalent with extensive experience in electromagnetic DC/low frequency, dimensional, mechanical, and thermodynamic calibrations. We are looking for a Technician based in, or willing to relocate, to Lancaster County, PA or the surrounding region. This position is home based and includes daily local travel to our customers' facilities to work. There are also frequent visits to our headquarters in Lititz, PA. Travel is usually local returning home daily with some overnight stays including per diems when the customer location requires a longer stay. We are looking for a long-term Calibration Technician willing to help our growing company for years to come.


Our Technicians Job Duties Include:

· Test and calibrate all types of instruments and equipment

· Utilize our industry specific Software for accurate documentation

· Troubleshooting of basic calibration problems

· Provide exceptional customer service experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft products and the ability to learn our industry specific software

· Attend safety and industry trainings as required


Required skill sets:

· Critical thinking skills

· Attention to detail

· Customer service focused and overall communication skills

· Understands the Metrology process

· AC/DC Low Frequency calibration experience

· 2 years calibration experience with PMEL or Technical School Equivalent Preferred

· Must have a clean driving record and a valid drivers’ license

Schedule:

  • 8 to 10 - hour shift
  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime as required

Supplemental Pay:

Experience:

  • Electronics Calibration: 2 to 3 years (preferred)


Education:

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 3+ years calibration to include electronics (Required)


Required overnight travel:

  • As scheduled (Less than 25%)
  • Paid Per Diem


Work Location:

  • Home Based
  • Multiple customer locations
  • Daily travel to and from customer sites


Pay Frequency:

  • Bi-weekly (every other week)
