The Diesel Truck Mechanic is responsible for a variety of tasks including diagnostics, service repairs, and preventative maintenance to maintain a working fleet that meets DOT requirements.   • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate repairs
  • Collaborate with drivers to troubleshoot faulty equipment
  • Use technical knowledge to repair company vehicles properly and cost efficiently
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspection (PMI), troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment including engine repair and chassis maintenance
  • Work independently on equipment that requires a high level of skill with hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Estimate time and material costs on repairs and requisitions new parts
  • Respond to unscheduled service calls quickly and complete repairs efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge on existing equipment, as well as reading and understanding equipment manuals

Diesel Truck Mechanic will be responsible for a variety of tasks; including diagnostics, service repairs and preventative maintenance associated with maintaining a working fleet that meets DOT requirements. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, as well as execute the repairs.
