Responsibilities

  • Drive total predictive maintenance (TPM) philosophy, implementation, and use, ensuring regular and preventative maintenance is performed effectively.
  • Manage record-keeping for all service and maintenance performed on machinery, coordinating with production for job setups and scheduling downtime for repair and maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain an effective parts system, managing the installation, maintenance, and repair of production, facility, and support equipment.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to the maintenance team, ensuring proper training on job duties and CMMS system usage.
  • Develop quality work audits and provide guidance to the maintenance team to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
  • Engage, train, motivate, and develop progression plans for the maintenance team, including supervising and providing guidance to hourly employees.
  • Interview, hire, and train new hires, while planning, assigning, and directing work within the maintenance department.
  • Manage and control costs for vendor services, verifying compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Ensure vendors are trained to comply with safety requirements while on company premises, managing vendor activities effectively.
  • Investigate equipment inefficiencies, develop programs and solutions to reduce future occurrences, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics manufacturing or high-speed automation and printing.
  • Strong engineering knowledge (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems).
  • Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
