The Operations Manager at MANN+HUMMEL is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and approving all activities within a production plant. Responsibilities

  • Establish the operating budget and monitor the cost and effectiveness of the production activities
  • Ensure the resources optimization and allocate the labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and achieve quality, and manufacturing standards
  • Research, evaluate, and approve investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities
  • Account for the entire supply chain (from supplier to customer) regarding the quality issues
  • Define/approve the appropriate procedures and measures for the quality control (CRM, production quality, supplier quality)
  • Develop and implement the local quality assurance strategies and regulations, improve the existing strategies to fit in the plant’s operations
  • Evaluate the potential risks, ensure compliance with standards and regulations and provide recommendations
  • Facilitates the audits and regulatory inspections
  • Liaise with external vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the M+H quality standards
  • Ensure and maintain of all records as per ISO / TS / EMS Standards
  • Manage the physical logistics activities incl. the internal material flow within the plant
  • Ensure that all machines and technical equipment in the plant are properly maintained
  • Account for translating the customer specifications into the appropriate manufacturing process
  • Develop and implement the equipment to meet the customer specifications on an appropriate cost level, coordinate the necessary changes in the production equipment
  • Ensure that the working area is prepared and all technical equipment is set up for the start of production
  • Define, develop and execute production processes according to the customer specifications for all new projects
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Ensure that the personnel is employed in accordance with the production needs and that the employees are assigned to the positions that match their qualifications
  • Identify, facilitate and maintain the personnel training needs and development plan
  • Guide, develop and motivate the direct reports within the HR policy

Qualifications

Required

  • University degree in Engineering or relevant field of technical or business education
  • Min 5 years of relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Good organizational and planning skills, problem-solving
  • Leadership, strong interpersonal skills
  • MS Office
  • Knowledge on handling ISO 14001 requirements

Operations Manager

The job incumbent plans, manages, coordinates and approves all activities within a M+H production plant. The activities comprise the areas of production, production quality, logistics and technical service.


Your Challenge:

Production
