  • Soliciting new customers and partnering with Territory Sales Managers to improve contacts among key and target customers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in a dedicated customer service and/or sales focused environment (inside sales or outside sales)
  • Experience utilizing a CRM tool
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • High school degree or equivalent

Preferred

  • Building products, specifically roofing products, knowledge
  • NetSuite ERP and quoting software experience

Summary:

The Inside Sales Rep role with Metal Sales provides an opportunity to learn about the metal manufacturing industry while working alongside our Territory Sales Managers and other branch personnel.

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. This position engages with our customer base in a sales activity driven role. The role is based in our Temple Texas branch and supports customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. At times, outside sales activities will be required.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude, the ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment, strong communication skills, be proficient at regularly turning quotes into sales, and promoting/supporting our online ordering platform. Opportunities to grow into an outside territory sales position are available for interested and qualified Sales Associates.

You'll be responsible for (but not limited to):

Preferred Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in a dedicated customer service and/or sales focused environment (inside sales or outside sales) and experience utilizing a CRM tool
  • Building products, specifically roofing products, knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • The ability to travel up to 25% of the time locally/regionally to perform outside sales activities
  • NetSuite ERP and quoting software experience a plus, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required
  • Associate degree or higher preferred, HS degree or equivalent required
