The Local Class A Truck Driver at Reyes Beverage Group is responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to customers. Responsibilities

  • Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle
  • Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck
  • Maneuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles
  • Unload and deliver products to customers utilizing various methodologies including manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments
  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel
  • Complete delivery and pick up paperwork
  • Pick up returned product as required
  • Collect company assets including payments, carts, pallets, etc.
  • Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle
  • Complete company training and certifications as required
  • Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Must have at least 1 year Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirements
  • Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test

Preferred

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment
  • Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience
  • Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience

Position Summary:

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
