  • Maintain common building/shop areas/yard areas
  • Maintain bulk oil area
  • Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of facility assigned vehicles - and Overhead Cranes
  • Perform seasonal facility upkeep
  • Advise department Managers of training and tooling needed
  • Advise on recommendations for new and existing equipment
  • Maintain issuance of certain safety equipment and secondary safety responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma including a specialized technical/mechanical course or equivalent years experience as a maintenance worker preferred
  • 3-5 years direct facility mechanical experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to operate various hand/power tools & equipment
  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write fluent the English language
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Working Hours/Days

M-F 6:30 AM - 3:00pm

Overview

The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for working with the East Dundee Facility, to provide mission critical support for facility maintenance projects, equipment readiness & work scope related to facility/department needs. This position will serve as facility maintenance, asset management and safety compliance. The focus of this position will be to ensure the facility is in good working order, with no violations of safety, EPA, or contamination control; equipment and tooling is in good working order, up to date and improvements/new needs communicated to departments.

Basic Duties

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES (including but not limited to):

+ Repair and maintain facility equipment/systems e.g., MART/Pressure washers, ladders, wash bay, facility mechanicals

+ Perform safety inspections and ensure facility compliance

+ Ensure facility contamination control compliance - Environmental Compliance

+ Maintain common building/shop areas/yard areas

+ Maintain bulk oil area

Qualifications

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

+ High School diploma including a specialized technical/mechanical course or equivalent years experience as a maintenace worker preferred

+ 3-5 years direct facility mechanical experience

+ Combination of education and experience will be considered

+ Must possess a valid driver's license

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

+ Must be able to operate various hand/power tools & equipment (i.e. drill press, power saws, powered equipment, pipe bender, scissor lift and fork lift, etc)

+ Must be able to comprehend, speak and write fluent the English language

+ Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
