The Pharmacy Technician Certified at Community Health Network is responsible for ensuring medications and supplies are provided to customers in an accurate and timely manner, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.   • Completes mandatory learning, licensing, and other requirements independently, without the intervention of leadership.
  • Communicates with patients, their families, other hospital employees and departments in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience
  • Certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) or Licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
  • National Certification required within 2 years of hire

**Education**

- High School Diploma or GED : High school diploma or GED equivalent is required (Required)

- Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience education preferred (Required)

- Required Certifications/Licensures: (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) National Certification or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (ExCPT))

- One of the following is required Certifications/Licensures: (Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA), Licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA). If licensed as Pharmacy Intern (IPLA) you do not need to be nationally certified with PTCB or NHA.)

- National Certification required within 2 years of hire.
