The CDL Shuttle Driver at ABM Industries is responsible for safely transporting employees to and from assigned locations, which may include airport grounds or parking facilities to the terminal(s). Responsibilities

- Operate an assigned shuttle bus on a designated transportation route.
- Ensure the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of passengers.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and safety standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Transport, load, and unload passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e. wheelchair lifts and tie-downs).
- Inspect vehicles regularly to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities.
- Meet patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots.
- Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage record information using electronic device or manual ticket.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Direct traffic, position barricades, and arrange for towing service when necessary.
- Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plan and coordinate bus evacuation activities as appropriate.
- Immediately report any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
- Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment and maintain assigned fuel use logs.
- Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use.
- Maintain safe driver designation and applicable physical and dexterity standards.
- Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid CDL A or B with Passenger Endorsement

- Customer Service Experience
- 1 year of similar work experience
