The Staff Accountant at Family of Kidz will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Responsibilities

  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
  • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and assist in the monthly close.
  • Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify and post deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
  • Prepare payments by accruing expenses and assigning account numbers when needed.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Advanced Excel Skills (must know modeling)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and Sage Intacct software
  • Experience with multi entity / consolidations
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required
  • At least two - three years of related experience required

About You: 

If you have these attributes:
