Required

  • Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program and meets education requirements to qualify for intern license in the State of Ohio OR International pharmacy experience which meets the requirements to qualify for the Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License.
  • Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before your start date.

Pharmacy Intern - Inpatient

The Main Campus inpatient program will prepare interns to become pharmacy practitioners that embody excellence in education, clinical care, and personal integrity. This program challenges student pharmacists to think creatively and critically while emphasizing diversity, innovation, and the commitment to putting patients first.

**A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 8:00AM - 6:30PM.**

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

+ Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related issues.

+ Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.

+ Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.

+ Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.

+ Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
