  • Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy

Preferred

  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire

**Clinical Laboratory Assistant**

_Fast-paced, high energy Lab department is looking for a top skilled Clinical Lab Assistant. Is that you?_

**Work location:** Texas Health Frisco, 12400 Dallas Parkway NB, Frisco, TX 75033

**Work hours:** PRN; As needed

**Lab Department highlights:**

**Here's What You Need**

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency

· Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy

· PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred

**What You Will Do**

· For those entities **performing phlebotomy** ; employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient

· Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines

· Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens

· Follows established laboratory test procedures

· Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
