  • Reviewing contract plans, specifications, submittals and material information
  • Reporting and documenting any field conditions that deviate from the Contract
  • Utilizing contract documents to perform general monitoring and documentation of construction activities

Qualifications

Required

  • Substantial years' professional experience in roadway/highway, bridge, or general civil construction projects
  • Experience on WisDOT construction projects
  • Ability to drive to/from project locations in SE Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area
  • Working knowledge of construction engineering and document control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • WisDOT HTCP Certifications for Portland Cement Concrete Technician and Nuclear Density Technician
  • OSHA 10- or 30- hour training
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil3D and/or AutoCAD

As a Construction Engineer, you'll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning engineering, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Construction Engineer in the Milwaukee or southeast Wisconsin area who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. You'll provide construction engineering and inspection services on highway, roadway, bridge and other various infrastructure projects in Milwaukee and across southeast Wisconsin. As part of our project team, the responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to:

- Being the Project Lead or Assistant Project Lead on WisDOT projects

- Documenting contractor progress and quantities completed
