The CT Technician II at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is responsible for performing diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations, including advanced CT imaging such as Cardiac and Vascular. This role involves using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images for medical diagnosis and treatment, and requires the ability to provide patient care across all age groups. The technician will work under the direct guidance of a supervising Radiologist and must demonstrate competence in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform advance CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular).
  • Demonstrate competence/proficiency with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience, with one year in CT.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT).
  • Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • BLS certified.

Friday 11a - 7p and Saturday/Sunday 7a - 11p

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform
diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide
patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform advance CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience, with one year in CT.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT).
Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
