Apple Services Engineering is seeking a Production Services Engineer with a passion for media, customer experience, and the quality of content and services associated with Apple. Qualifications

Required

  • Experience diagnosing technical issues
  • Knowledge of process management, metrics and KPIs
  • Familiarity with digital media files and content
  • Familiarity with video playback technologies, Digital Rights Management, HTTP Live Streaming, video acquisition and distribution, monitoring and reporting
  • Knowledge of video ecosystem: delivery and processing of large scale VOD and EST video and audio
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to understand technical concepts and connect with non-technical customers
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years equivalent work experience

Preferred

  • Familiarity with broadcast transport technologies
  • Familiarity with livestream ad-insertion technologies
  • Familiarity with live broadcast environments and operational workflow for high profile event productions
  • Experience with SQL, XML
  • Comfortable with command line tools (chmod, curl, grep, ssh, scp)
  • Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, DataDog)
  • Experience with Java programming, scripting

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
