Level 3 Software Engineer

Job Description

A defense employer is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. This individual will be part of the organizations Engineering Management team to perform software design, code, unit test, integration, and testing to complete project requirements. Responsibilities will include creating use cases and perform object-oriented analysis, implement software capabilities and bug fixes, develop unit tests related to softeare implementation, provide technical support, and code using primarily Java and Typescript. This can be a fully remote position, must be able to work EST hours.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

- 3+ years experience in software development with Typescript and Java

- Develop unit tests with JUnit framework

- Experience using IDE (Eclipse or Intellij IDEA)

- Can use source code repository such as BitBucket, GIT, or Subversion

- Linux experience

- Jirs used as defect management system

- Have worked on Agile teams and use development methodologies - Come from a DoD background

- Has an Active Secret clearance

- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and/or Oracle.)

- Modeling and Simulation experience null
