\nKBR provides full-spectrum base operations support to Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, a remote location in the British Indian Ocean Territory. Our robust supply chain ensures on-time delivery of mission-critical supplies, and our team conducts essential port and airfield operations in this geographically complex environment. \nJob Summary
\n
\nUnder the supervision of the QC Supervisor, Serves as the liaison between the government Construction Manager (CM) and IDIQ Project Management.
\n
\nRoles and Responsibilities
\n
\n+ Implement QC Program and perform on-site QC functions to assure the quality work.
\n
\n+ Perform QC reviews and processing of all project submittals, test reports, certifications, and other documentations required in the contract.
\n
\n+ Interface with disciplines to steward resolution of technical issues, Requests for Information (RFIs), and non-compliant work.
\n
\n+ Responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation, and ensures testing is performed.
\n
\n+ Prepare punch lists and validate corrective action plans.
\n
\n+ Prepare and issue overall QC inspection status report, and maintain non-conformance log.
\n
\n+ Coordinate different holding and witness points to Government Construction Managers (CM).
\n
\n+ Perform project material verification and prepare associated documents.
\n
\n+ Plan, coordinate, and lead QC meetings, mock-ups and other QC related activities.
\n
\n+ Report quality issues to Project Manager and Construction Superintendent promptly including regular updates for reporting requirements.
\n
\n+ Familiar with EM-385-1-1 and has experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
\n
\n+ Perform other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
\n
\nBasic Qualifications
\n
\n+ Must have knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and/or 9001:2015 is highly desired.
\n
\n+ Must possess administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
\n
\n+ Proven ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
\n
\n+ Comfort multitasking and handling multiple requests from different individuals and departments.
\n
\n+ Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment.
\n
\n+ Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated when managing communication channels.
\n
\n+ Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
\n
\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAININGS
\n
\n+ International Code Council (ICC) Certification
\n
\n+ Certified Mechanical Inspector
\n
\n+ Professional certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is highly desired.
\n
\n+ Construction Quality Management for Contractors
\n
\nEDUCATION:
\n
\n+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering fields based on a 5-year course of study from an accredited College or University.
\n
\nEXPERIENCE:
\n
\n+ Must have at least five (5) years of experience in supervising mechanical construction work.
\n
\n+ Experience in Quality Conformance and Field Inspection.
\n
