Responsibilities

  • Apply technical accounting principles to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606 and other relevant standards
  • Prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Company's revenue policy
  • Monitor and reconcile revenue-related accounts and transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Collaborate with sales, contracts, and billing teams to ensure proper revenue recognition for complex contracts and transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial statements, reports, and disclosures
  • Analyze revenue trends and variances, providing insights and explanations to management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards related to revenue recognition
  • Maintain detailed documentation and support for revenue accounting processes and transactions

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of overall corporate experience or 2 years of public accounting experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Fluency in U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex accounting issues with a focus in ASC 606
  • Experience in preparation or review of account reconciliations
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable and able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with all levels and functions within an organization
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

The Technical Revenue Accountant will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of revenue recognition, accounting, and reporting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of technical accounting principles related to revenue recognition, as well as proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Apply technical accounting principles to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606 and other relevant standards

2. Prepare journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Company's revenue policy

3. Monitor and reconcile revenue-related accounts and transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy

4. Collaborate with sales, contracts, and billing teams to ensure proper revenue recognition for complex contracts and transactions

5. Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial statements, reports, and disclosures
