We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling payroll and HRIS functions, including processing payroll in multiple states, preparing and posting journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, generating reports, and leading the implementation of HRIS modules. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post various journal entries related to payroll and end of the month closing.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations for all payroll related accounts.
  • Generate payroll reports as required for budgeting and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to improve and streamline payroll processes.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for retirement processing for salary, union employees, and pension with yearly audits.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify HR technology needs and improvements.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of HRIS modules and updates.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and generate regular reports for HR and leadership, providing insights into key HR metrics.

  • Proficiency in ADP - Payroll software
  • Experience with Payroll - Union and Multi-State
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong computing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
