OVERVIEW

The Operator is responsible for learning all aspects of the production operation such as loading/unloading bulk sugar, melt processing, and packaging by performing the following duties.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Responsible for equipment start up and observation of possible malfunctions

+ Reports malfunctions to supervisor and makes minor adjustments or repairs (i.e. opening valves)

+ Execute melt, bulk load/unloading, and packaging processes according to process/procedure

+ Performs quality control in accordance to standardized process/procedure

+ Completes all necessary paperwork according to process/procedure

+ Replenishes packaging supplies as necessary

+ Open to cross-functional training in all areas of operation

+ Participates in customer/federal audits as assigned

+ All other duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCES

+ Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred

+ 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing or similar industry required

+ Prior experience troubleshooting equipment strongly preferred

+ Prior experience operating a forklift preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
