Customer Service Representative

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a vital part of our team, you will be in charge of handling customer inquiries, processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and monitoring customer accounts. This role is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity providing a crucial service in our operations.

Responsibilities:

- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in a professional manner

- Enter customer data accurately into the system

- Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to maintain and update customer records

- Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

- Respond to customer inquiries via email and over the phone

- Schedule appointments as required

- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

- Maintain a high level of customer service at all times

- Complete order entries accurately and promptly

- Use dispatching and logistics skills to manage customer service processes

Requirements

- Proficiency in answering inbound calls

- Experience in call center customer service

- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy

- Experience in email correspondence

- Knowledge of handling both inbound and outbound calls

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

- Experience in order entry

- Ability to schedule appointments effectively

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations

- High level of patience and empathy towards customers

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays if required

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a relevant field will be appreciated
