Sales Assistant

Description We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry, located in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing transactional accounts, serving as the primary contact for customers, and understanding technical products to facilitate effective discussions. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will be conducted remotely.

Responsibilities:

- Manage smaller, transactional accounts to ensure efficient operation

- Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues

- Understand technical products to facilitate effective conversations

- Utilize critical thinking skills to understand and explain complex topics

- Use Microsoft Excel for data processing and organization

- Respond to inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service

- Cultivate leads from a large pool of inherited accounts

- Conduct research to establish client contacts when necessary

- Grow business relationships through effective communication and service

- Apply prior customer service or sales experience to improve business sales and generate leads. Requirements - Minimum of one year of experience in a sales assistant role or similar position in the Oil & Gas industry.

- Demonstrated proficiency in data processing and Microsoft Excel.

- Proven experience in answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service.

- Ability to generate leads and drive business sales.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic.

- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools would be advantageous.

- Must be willing to participate in further training and development opportunities to enhance skills and abilities.

- A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with industry standards.
