As a Product Line Manager at KeyPartners, you will collaborate closely with the global product management team to define product requirements, analyze market opportunities, and identify industry trends specific to the Americas. Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of sales and marketing strategies with National Sales Company leaders across the Americas to ensure profitable growth meets or exceeds budget expectations.
  • Build and document a comprehensive understanding of the needs of strategic OEMs, using CRM systems and detailed white papers.
  • Focus primarily on generating new business aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and launching new products to key prospects, including anticipating product releases for OEMs.
  • Gather and act on feedback (Voice of Customer) to meet the needs of strategic customers and prospects, ensuring their satisfaction and aligning with their business goals.
  • Influence the global product roadmap under the leadership of the International Product Manager (IPM) and provide product and pricing input while approving all roadmap projects.
  • Equip sales teams with the necessary materials and training to engage strategic OEMs, fostering the development of new projects.
  • Work closely with sales leaders to develop strategic industry business, ensuring budget goals are met, while overseeing effective project management by sales teams.
  • Regular communication with IPMs to ensure alignment on market trends, customer feedback, and product development.
  • Collaborate with regional sales, product support, and IPM teams to craft tailored solutions for key customers.
  • Report regularly on key customer performance and activities, including wins and losses, through CRM and monthly business reports.
  • Assist with annual product line strategy updates, including pricing and marketing promotion strategies.
  • Help establish a peer Product Line Manager (PLM) group to share insights and improve the role’s effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required

  • Technical degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in product management or application engineering in industrial automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial automation markets, particularly sensors.
  • Proven B2B sales experience with automation components in industries such as HVAC, food and beverage, plastics and rubber, and semiconductors.
  • Previous roles as a Product Specialist or Application Engineer are advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Americas.

Preferred

  • Additional qualifications in marketing or business administration.

In this role, reporting to the Managing Director of the Americas, you will collaborate closely with the global product management team to define product requirements, analyze market opportunities, and identify industry trends specific to the Americas. You'll also work with leaders of the National Sales Companies to ensure efficient time allocation and drive new business generation from the sales teams.

  • Together with key account managers, you’ll gather and act on feedback (Voice of Customer) to meet the needs of strategic customers and prospects, ensuring their satisfaction and aligning with their business goals.
  • Leveraging market intelligence from the Americas, you will influence the global product roadmap under the leadership of the International Product Manager (IPM) and provide product and pricing input while approving all roadmap projects.
  • You will equip sales teams with the necessary materials and training to engage strategic OEMs, fostering the development of new projects, whether for standard products, customized solutions, or those aligned with the roadmap. You’ll ensure these projects are managed efficiently, driving additional sales revenue.

  • Regular communication with IPMs will ensure alignment on market trends, customer feedback, and product development.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in product management or application engineering in industrial automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial automation markets, particularly sensors, is preferred.
  • Proven B2B sales experience with automation components in industries such as HVAC, food and beverage, plastics and rubber, and semiconductors.
  • Previous roles as a Product Specialist or Application Engineer would be advantageous.
  • A self-driven, energetic, and dynamic individual who can work independently in a global environment.
