Insight Global is seeking technicians for our large Automotive client in Pontiac, MI. They are looking for technicians with any interest or experience in the following areas:
Pallet build – receive a property, set it up to engineer standards, fabrication work, drilling, welding, getting them ready to slide into a dyno to spin (for this spot there is no dyno experience required, this is like a mechanic at a dealership role)
Engine Validation – they will be assigned test cells to own and operate, install of the property, do morning checks, hit a start button because it is all automated, watch that or move on to the next cell to complete task
Engine Development – no start button, 10% automated and the rest is manual, must have puma or dyno experience, developing calibrations or hardware to support the launch of the new properties
Day to Day: Scope largely includes engine validation and engine development. Validation is pretty straight forward with just standard testing. The development space is more manual testing with calibration and hardware development. On any given day, the technician will be required to contribute to one or all of the following areas: pallet build; engine validation; and engine development. This team has a strong level of interaction, so someone who is collaborative and a natural problem solver will thrive.
