  • Experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics
  • Experience with rapid prototype tooling
  • Experience with production tooling
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM
  • Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting

Preferred

  • Thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM
  • Mechanical stack-up analysis
  • Structural Load Analysis
  • Experience using mechanical test equipment such as thermal chambers, vibration tables, etc
  • Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools

Job Description:

We're looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer drafter who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design, performing related testing and analysis, and generating test reports for cameras and radars used in flight. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.


Responsibilities:

  • Working in 3D CAD and producing 2D drawings. Working in lab doing tests on hardware, prototype builds. Authoring test reports.
  • The perception hardware team designs the cameras and radar that enable autonomous flight. The candidate would be working on the cutting edge of autonomous vehicles.
