Hays Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating electrical work for commercial, multifamily, or hospitality projects. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial, multifamily, and hospitality projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to accurately determine the scope of work.
• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to assess the project scope and conditions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate estimates and successful project execution.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools to reflect current market conditions.
• Present estimates to clients and project teams, explaining the basis of the cost and addressing any questions.
• Track and report on project costs and budgets to ensure alignment with estimates.
• Participate in bid review meetings and provide input on bid strategies and competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically for commercial, multifamily, or hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
