Lead Injection Molding Maintenance Tech

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a plastics manufacturer on the Southside of Indianapolis who is looking to add a Lead Maintenance Technician in their INJECTION MOLDING department! The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience working with the mechanical and electrical aspects of injection mold machines, and have experience with Leadership Functions.

Responsibilities:

• Leads trainings with maintenance staff and assists with complex troubleshooting
• PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of injection molding and/or stretch blow molding machinery and processes is a requirement.
• Ideal candidate would have 3 to 5 years experience in plastics processing.
• Strong Electrical and Mechanical Background
• Experience with training and leadership
